New Builds
Denis Buckley Builder Cork is experienced at building homes to the highest standard
A solid reputation for doing quality new-builds, extensions, renovations and restorations
In business since 1888, Cork builder Denis Buckley has built up a solid reputation in the construction industry for quality. He specialises in new-builds, extensions, renovations and restorations, and is fully insured.
A native of Carrigtwohill, Co Cork, Denis has 'building' in the blood. He followed his father into the business and works closely with his brother.
Although he mostly focuses on new-builds, Denis has found that people are more likely to invest in their own homes now rather than selling and buying afresh.
I have great vision and see the finished product at the earliest stages. Not alone do I bring a personal touch to my work, but I am always willing to amend plans if possible along the way to make your project appear even better.
The new Home Renovation Initiative (HRI) was announced in Budget 2013. It will run for two years, until the end of 2015. It gives you as a home owner an income tax credit of 13.5% on home improvement expenditure of between €5,000 and €30,000. This applies to extensions and renovations to the home, window-fitting, plumbing, tiling and plastering. Read more about this initiative here.
If you have a building project for me, this is what you should do next:
Check does the project need planning permission?
See Planning for further advice.
See if there is a grant or a tax Initiative for the project?
See the Building Grants section for further advice.
If the project does not need planning, or if planning has been obtained, give me a call on 086 8300836.
Explain what the project's about and I will arrange a meeting to have a closer look.
After assessing the site and the materials needed, I will give you a price, a start date and an estimate of how long the project will take.
If you agree, then we will proceed with a contract and a schedule of work.
